Narrow Passage

Slice of Sky by J. Binford-Bell

Narrow

The path
seems to narrow these days
choices so few.

One foot
in front of another
toeing the line.

No room
or time for deviation.
No wiggle room

Judgement
sits on either side
awaiting a misstep.

Time
so confined
cannot even sit down and cry.

Wow
And how
Did I arrive
At such a destination

Thank you for the honor

  2. Lovely poem and there is nothing narrow about that stunning slice of sky. Partly it is the zeitgeist, don't you think? Let's face it, we are in a depression. Hang in there girl, you have so much to live for. You live in beauty and you are so talented.

  3. Yes, there is a lot to live for. But it seems such a long path at the moment. I keep waiting for the path to widen. Meanwhile I keep on keeping on.

The garden has been a major asset this year both because of its connection to life and its augmentation of my food supply.

So happy to see you back, Ien.
