Our Country is Worth It



Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi says Trump isn't worth impeaching. I assume she means the divisiveness it would create for a failed attempt at getting him out of office. She may be correct in the fact that an impeachment, essentially an indictment the Senate should address, would fail because the Senate controlled by McConnell would never even bring the matter up for a vote.

And I agree. But I still say we MUST impeach. We, the American people, need to create an enduring record of the crimes against our government and its people. We need articles of impeachment on the record if for no other reason than a black and white record for history, and the future if we have one.

Clearly Attorney General Barr is going to deny us the work of Robert Mueller and the special council. But deep in our hearts and souls we know what it says. We daily have proof of #45's crimes. And he continues to do them and more because he feels he has gotten away with it. We need the articles of impeachment if for no other reason than to say, "No, you haven't."

As a conman and a scam artist you worked the system against us because no body among our founders envisioned a person so absolutely corrupt to have an army of minions (the GOP) support him. And having all branches of government gave the thieves a two year head start. Putin in your pocket was also a help. And it is possible our government is past the tipping point. But we need to make a record for whatever follows this.

The Congress of the United States with, or without, the support of the Speaker needs to Impeach the current president of the United States. Keep in mind this is just an indictment. An indictment which AG Barr and the Justice Department is denying us.  Trump may not be worth it but our government is. Our country is. Our citizens are. And so is the world. As the great democratic experiment we need to list all his crimes in the articles of impeachment and pass it in the house. Then the Senate will have to enter into the record as not even allowing it to come to a vote.

But the world will know what he did wrong, and that we knew he did wrong, and that we are opposed to what this beast has done to our country.

Impeach Trump NOW.

For much of my college career my fitness workout was swimming on the B squad of the swim team. I remember it as the days before heated pools and women coaches. The Pruning the Crown of Thorns

Crown of Thorns Before I am a lover of Euphorbias . They are from the deserts of Southern Africa and Madagascar. They have evolved physical characteristics and forms similar to cacti of North and South America and are often incorrectly referred to as cacti. My big Crown of Thorns was one of my first of a growing collection of these succulents from the spurge family of Euphorbiaceae. I picked it up as a 6 inch plant in a New Iberia nursery when my sister and I were touring the northern gulf coast. I believe that was 15 years ago. I made an attempt at limiting its height a few years back to allow it to devote more energy to the new branches and make it a denser plant. That failed. And the height of the plant continued to challenge the window space and soon the long branches were leaning over and leaning against the window. Polyethylene Packaging - a Dark Times Journal entry

I was in the fourth grade when our family moved from El Paso, Texas to Albuquerque, New Mexico. We moved because I could not breathe the air there. I want to say they cracked petroleum there. But what did I know beyond the sky was sometimes yellow and I could not breathe. Mom was pregnant with Debbie, and Gary and I rode in the backseat separated by a round tank full of Dad's tropical fish. Dad had a job with Sealright, Inc which made paper milk cartons. Sealright was a polyethylene packing subsidiary of Phillips 66. The petroleum company. I was rather proud of myself for learning to say that, and to not laugh when adults would stare at me not knowing what to ask about that. Albuquerque smelled better. Then. Before all the freeways were built and the shape of the valley trapped the exhaust down near the ground in the winter months. We lived in the foothills. I could breathe. I learned that if I could see the air I could not. Still it was better than El Paso though I missed our trip
